I am a female expatriate who moved to Saudi Arabia in 2008. Initially in the absence of job opportunities, I started working as a classroom teacher. I taught grammar, phonics, science, and mathematics, and after one academic year, I finally worked my way and found a job in my field of interest.
As a non-Arabic expatriate female, I faced all the difficulties that all non-Arabic foreigners faced, ranging from the inability to communicate appropriately to blending with a new culture and way of life. As it is commonly said, time is the remedy for all situations and gradually, I began to find my place in this community.
